Lancome: AUDA[CITY] in PARIS
THIS PALETTE THO!!! Holy goodness- holy grail. I heard so much hype about this palette on Youtube, but never thought much about it. Lancome is definitely underrated, because this palette is phenomenal. I was blown away by the pigmentation. If you're someone that likes high color pay off, and creamy shadows I recommend this. (SANTA- I hope to see this wrapped under the tree for me, pleaseeee!) If your look is more natural with softer colors then you should get the Estee Lauder 'Give Every Shade' palette (below).
Estee Lauder: Give Every Shade
This palette has very similar colors to the Lancome 'Auda[city] in Paris' shadows. The pigmentation isn't as strong, but that's not a bad thing. The shadows are extremely soft and very fine. This is a great option for muh girls who prefer a more natural look. Plus, these shadows are build-able, so if you want to exaggerate your look you still can. ALSO- HOLY VALUE. You get so much bang for your buck. I believe this is around $50, and you get all three palettes- yes, ALL THREE. I didn't realize that until the sales lady told me. Holiday values- always helpin' Mr. Santa Claus out.
Dior: Holiday Eye & Lip Palette
This is yet another great palette. Dior included three eyeshadow shades, two lip colors, and one double sided brush. If you're on a limited budget I do not recommend this. Although, it's a fantastic collection- it is very expensive. The three colors are SO pigmented, and beautifullllll- but it does come with the dreaded hefty price tag. If you want something high-end, you should get this or the Marc Jacobs palette. Both are incredible.
Marc Jacobs: THE FREE SPIRIT
If I could pick money off of trees, this is the first thing I'd buy! AMAZING palette. Honestly it's fantastic. There is a huge variety of colors. This palette and the Lancome palette definitely are tied for first place in pigmentation. It costs $99 but, as crazy as it sounds, this is a great value. In comparison to the Marc Jacobs shadow palettes (that are sold year round), and other high-end products, you're going to get a lot for what you pay for.
MOM IF YOU'RE READING THIS- first, click on the picture (to the left), then press 'add to cart,' then proceed to checkout, once it's arrived- wrap it and put it under the tree with a little tag that says 'to Emma'-thx, luv u!!!
M.A.C: Enchanted Eve Shadow Compacts
These colors are gorgeous- the deep navy blue- OH MERCY. I had been eyeballing these compacts for the longest time, and had them on my Christmas list. Once I got to the store, and had the chance to swatch them, I was so disappointed!! They have terrible pigmentation, which is so unlike M.A.C! Still in mourning over this loss. I set the bar too high...me and my unrealistic expectations- WHATA SHAME.
tarte: Light Of The Party Collector's Makeup Case
Another bummer! When I made swatches for this palette, I realized the colors were very transparent. I like very dense, color compacted shadows, so this wasn't the best palette for me. If you're new to the glorious world of makeup, then tell Santa to get you this! You'll definitely receive a good variety of things to try- blush, bronzer, shadows, highlight, mascara, etc. The Tarte holiday blush set is also AMAZING. It offers great cheek colors. Also, their brush set for 2015 is one of the best I've seen- I've been using it everyday.
Bobbi Brown: Greystone Eye Palette
Too Faced: Le Grand Palais
The only thing holding me back from buying this set is that is is so similar to last years! I love, love, love, Too Faced. They always impress me. This is a great palette. I only wish they included a few more matte colors to create a differentiation from similar holiday palettes. Also, the mini Melted Lipstick is adorable. You'll never run out of that stuff either!
